Rev. Dr. David Doong
Reverend Dr. David Doong was born in Taiwan. After graduating from National Taiwan University, he went to the United States and obtained a Master of Divinity (2008) and a Doctor of Theology (2015) from Fuller Theological Seminary. He served as a pastor (10 years in U.S. ministering to Chinese international students, young professionals, and 2nd generation Chinese Americans; 2 years in Taiwan), and as an adjunct professor in various seminaries (teaching “Practical Theology and Contemporary Issues” and “Ministry Practices in a Pluralistic Society”). Since stepping down from the pastoral service in August 2021, he serves as the general secretary of the Chinese Coordination Centre of World Evangelism Movement (CCCOWE). He is also the host of the missional discipleship podcast and the author of “Practical Theology as Discipleship” and “Missional Discipleship: Unleashing a Diverse and Innovative Generation of Disciples”.
