Welcome to the 2022 ACC Mission Conference! This is the first in-person ACC Mission Conference since the Covid-19 pandemic. The theme of this conference is ‘Faithful to His Faithfulness’. This year we are holding 3 tracks in parallel and have invited 3 excellent speakers to share their Missions experiences with ACC: Rev. Dr. Lisa Pak (English), Dr. Yih-Jia Chang (Mandarin) and Rev. Dr. Lawrence Fung (Cantonese). I hope you all will be uplifted, encouraged, and inspired by all the messages, so you will be more ready to participate in the Great Commission that the Lord has called all of us to, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations” (Matt 28:19).
In 2022, we welcomed two new members to the MC: David Wong (Cantonese congregation) as Missions Education department lead and Jessica Chang (English congregation) as MC Communications lead. We praise God for the hard work of returning committee members Pastor Gaylord Tsuei (English) as Pastoral liaison and Missionary Caring department lead, Leo Yeung (Cantonese) as Strategy and UUPG/UPG department lead, David Wang (English) as Treasurer and STM department lead, and Wayne Huang (Mandarin) as Prayer department lead. We are also thankful for the service of our four 2021 committee members: Lucy Hsu, Theresa Yee, Yingfeng Chen, and Chow Ling Chang.
This year, I am so honored to start serving the 2nd term as a mission deacon in ACC. It has been such a privilege serving with great Mission Committee members and having learned so many incredible things that the Lord has done through the missionaries and mission organizations that we are supporting. The Lord’s blessing to ACC Mission ministry is abundant and is more than what we planned. I am so grateful for the Lord’s blessing; on the other hand, I feel the urge that we should have done more for His Kingdom. During the pandemic in the last two years, we have learned that Lord’s work never stops in what so ever circumstances and we can choose to be part of it in many different ways, whether here or there, near or far. Let’s follow the calling of the 2022 ACC mission conference theme and be faithful to His faithfulness.
