Conference Speakers
Rev. Dr. Lisa Pak currently serves as the Global Strategist for Finishing The Task (FTT). Her previous experience includes serving as the Regional Director for Ontario and Nunavut at the Canadian Bible Society in addition to 14 years of pastoral ministry and church experience in the United States, South Korea, Singapore and Canada with a particular focus amongst the Korean Diaspora community. She is a second-generation Korean Canadian and Toronto native, ordained by the Korean Association of Independent Churches and Missions (KAICAM). She holds a MDiv and a MABL from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and has earned her Doctor of Ministry in Leadership at Tyndale Seminary. Lisa has travelled globally and is passionate about diaspora communities and mobilizing the young generation for the Gospel.
Rev. Dr. Lawrence Fung was the former International Director of Gospel Operation International (GOI), and currently serves as their Missionary Care Envoy. He was born and raised in Hong Kong. His full-time ministry began with Hong Kong Youth for Christ after graduating from college, where he later became their Asia Training Director and Acting Executive Director. Rev. Fung earned his Master of Divinity (1984) and Doctor of Ministry (1989) from GGBTS. While he was studying at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary (GGBTS) in San Francisco, he began serving in Cumberland Presbyterian Chinese Church (CPCC). In 2008, after serving as Senior Pastor of CPCC for over 20 years, he was called to serve at GOI. Lawrence later also earned his Doctorate of Intercultural Studies (2011) from Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon. Rev. and Mrs. Loretta Fung have 2 adult children (both married) and 5 grandchildren.
Dr. Yih Jia Chang graduated from Temple University with a Ph.D. in counseling psychology, and holds a psychologist license in California. She served at Tumaini Counseling Center in Nairobi, Kenya, where her main ministry was to serve missionaries via counseling and missionary children in the area of psychoeducational assessment. She is an associate member with Africa Inland Mission, and is involved mainly in screening and evaluating missionary candidates as well as debriefing missionaries. Aside from her full-time work, she also serves Chinese missionaries via counseling.
